Advatek pixlite 16 and output issue
« on: December 12, 2019, 10:41:19 AM »
Hi guys I’m new and I’m drowning right now. I have tried everything under the sun. I’m using pixelite MKII for my spiral tree display. It is up and output 1 is not working in either advatek HU or in xlights. What’s even stranger is that if I have universe 1 plugged into output 9 on the controller, I still have to check universe 1 on xlights test for it to turn on.  the 7 other lights in the sequence are all messed up color and timing wise. I checked the fuse and it is fine. I could get by with running my 8 output tree on universe 2-9, but xlights will not accept the Tree as outputs 2-9 even when I change my channel configuration. What else could be causing this issue. I have tried replacing the dongle, replacing the lights attached but nothing. Please help. This tree looks miserable without that one string.

Goto xlights.org and click the blue button to join zoom for help.

Some of your descriptions don't make sense to me.  You don't plug universes into outputs you plug strings into the outputs and then you map universes to outputs.  xLights will let you configure any output you like as the start channel.  Forget the xLights test page just create a dummy animation sequence and drop a butterfly effect on the tree for testing.  Really you should just define one output for the controller you don't need to define 8 output lines for this.

Hi there I apologize it probably didn’t come out correctly. Output 1 on the pick elite isn’t working. I have changed the dongle and string. Even in advatek HU it doesn’t work. Fuse is fine. I decided to ghost output 1 or start channels 8177-and move the string to output 9. It tests fine on advatek but not in xlights even after I have changed my start channel for the tree. I’m on zoom now but don’t have audio

I don't get why anything inside xLights need to change.  If you ghost the channels nothing changes in xlights it would just drive the original channels that you moved to output 9 in the controller.
