I would like to publicly say a huge thankyou to Keith for his assistance getting me out of a deep hole at the start of this years display season. Once he diagnosed my folder setup inaccuracies, our display has run like a swiss watch. The setup consists of around 1,000 channels of Renard AC Channels (2 x Serial Ports), Ledtrix PixC (1 x Serial Port), 5,422 Pixels controlled by a Falcon F16v3 on E1.31, all this out of the one PC, run by xSchedule.
The PC, a HP 2.5 Gig Quadcore Workstation with 8 Gig's of ram on board, now runs, according to Task Manager, at 1% - 3% processor activity when running the display. This is a far cry from the 25% - 30% we experienced when we had the huge 90 sec to 120 sec delay in all serial data, before Keith got involved.
As one of a "Certain Age", who knows just enough about computers to get himself into trouble, having very knowledgable and approachable folk available internationally to sort out problems like ours is brilliant. This is especially fantastic when you are totally out of your depth with a display sitting there all setup, public waiting, but it will not operate as "designed".
Keep up the great work Guy's, and, yes, I will ensure that my folder structure is correct next time :-(
