videos on mega tree help
« on: December 23, 2019, 12:26:34 PM »
in the xlights google drive i downloaded a sequence that i liked.
once i imported what i wanted and rendered it the videos dont play on my mega tree.

so i deleted my megatree and imported the tree out of the sequence and redid the import to the new tree. and still the movie wont play on the tree.
i have went thru the sequence and can see that the files are there and even browsed to them and the .mov files play in windows player.

but i have yet to get it setup on my tree.

is there something im missing here?

Yes you did not follow the recommended way to import.  So you either have to fix the video filename paths maually or redo it.  The correct way is to create a subdirectory under your show folder and then put all the sequence files in there.  Change xLights show folder to that subdirectory.  Open the sequence, render, and save.  Then switch your show folder back to normal.  Open a blank sequence and do Import -> Import Effects.  All the paths will have been fixed when you rendered and saved in the sub folder.

On the sequencer tab, right click when over the name of one of the models, and then scroll down to "edit display elements".  That will bring up a window where to can add or remove models to the list of what is being shown.
