I have been trying to define my singing Christmas trees for the Xlights Around the World sequence.  I have been using the singing faces models for the last 2 years.   Up until now when I'm sequencing the faces and check the Outline box the outline appears in the Model preview window.  I also set the Eyes on Auto and those also appeared in the Model Preview window.  But now when I check the Outline checkbox and select the Auto feature from the Eyes drop down box neither the Outline or eyes show up in the Model Preview window.  They also don't show in the House Preview window.   My singing faces models are 8 channel AC models.  I'm using the latest version of Xlights,  2019.72  64 bit.  Please note that I did try this with an earlier version of Xlights, 2019.42 64 bit, and don't have the same problem.   As requested I am including a screen shot of the Model Layout screen.  I'm also including the sequence screen showing the Outline checkbox and Eyes set to Auto and the Model Preview window.  I tried to include the packaged sequence for "The Greatest Show" sequence. But my screen kept timing out so I'm sending the 2 screen shots.  Let me know if you need it or anything else and I'll try to send it again.
Thank you,
Dennis H

You will need to package your sequence and send it to us and let us not specifically what time and what effect is an issue.

Did you try check sequence first?

Also exit xlights and restart - it worked for me in this situation.

Hello there,
Thank you for your responses.  So as an update I created a brand new show directory.  Instead of downloading my singing tree xmodels from last year.  I created the 4 Singing Xmas Tree models from scratch.  And rather than creating one model and then copying it I just created a separate model for each of the four trees.  I created The Greatest Show sequence for only the singing faces props and my 12 ribbon CCR tree.  The singing faces do work now but when I try to change the color to Green instead of the default Red, neither the Outline nor the Eyes work. This isn't a problem since the color doesn't translate to the actual prop since they are 8 channel AC props.
In answer to your question,  yes I did run the Check Sequence and am getting some warnings about the image sizes being 10 times the size of the prop.  Again I'm using a 12 ribbon CCR tree which I had working last year and older versions of Xlights.  But now I'm getting the image size problem.  Perhaps you could look into it.

For this sequence I only concentrated on the singing Xmas trees and the 12 CCR mega tree.  So the file is much smaller and I was able to up load it.

Oh on the other question, yes I did stop and restart Xlights and still had the same issue.  Also I installed the latest version of Xlights,  2019.74

How are you trying to change colors? You should be using the submodels to make any color changes.

Hello,
In answer to your question about what color I'm trying to set...   I may not have been clear I have 2 different types of singing faces.  1) is for an 8 channel AC singing face prop.  It is on that prop where you can set the color for each of the channel definitions.  I've included a pic of the screen where you can set that.  The other type of singing face is for my 12 ribbon CCR tree.   I suspected that the problem I was having with the AC singing face prop is with the model that I downloaded from last year's show.  So in a new show directory (my Halloween show),  I created the singing AC faces from scratch and it appears to be working ok now.  However I am still having a problem with the singing faces for the 12 ribbon CCR tree.  In the 'Check Sequence' print out I'm getting a warning that the "PTBarnum02_AI_eo.png' is 10.3 times the height or width of the model ... xLights is going to need to do lots of work to resize the image. Model 'Tree - Mega 12 CCR', Start 0:22.400.  I've run the sequence and it seems to be running ok.  I've run this sequence in last years display with an earlier version of Xlights and I wasn't getting this warning.  So to be safe I'd like to try to find out what's causing the Warning.   I've included a package of the sequence,  the Check Sequence printout, and a copy of the screen where I can set the color for my AC singing props.

We are always adding new warning to let users know when there are things in the sequence that either cause problems or excessive rendering.  So all because something wasn't warned about last year doesn't mean it wasn't an issue last year.  The warning seems clear to me what words are giving you trouble?  Its saying the darn image is too big do you really want xlights to take a long time every time you render or do you want to resize the image outside of xlights and speed things up.

Thank you Gilrock for the response.  The images I'm having issues with are the ones I downloaded from the Xlights Around the World project for the Greatest Show sequence.  So I'm wondering if other people who downloaded those images are having the same issues.  I don't have a problem resizing the images as I would like Xlights to operate as efficiently as possible.  What is the best way to resize the image?

I used the Greatest Showman sequence as well.  To be honest I never did a check sequence so I have no idea if I had those same warnings.  If you're happy with your render times its probably nothing to worry about.  If you want to resize your image there are tons of programs.  On Windows you can use the built-in Paint program.  I'm a Photoshop user.  There is another free program called Gimp but its got a big learning curve.  Its just a warning so I wouldn't consider that an issue.

Thank you again Gilrock,
Given all the problems I had for my first year with Xlights I do a Check Sequence on everything.  :0)
I did figure out how to use Paint to resize the images.  So I've resized the images and the Warnings went away.  So if anyone else has these errors I'd be happy to send the resized images.  Thank you again for your quick responses.  Even though I've had a ton of problems switching over to Xlights I'm glad I did.

I recall someone did resize and post the images back last year .. perhaps they are on the g drive? It made a big difference in the render times.
