New installation
« on: January 11, 2020, 02:34:35 AM »
Took the plunge and just down loaded xLights, as soon as I login I get an Error. Message,
Unable to create backup directory ‘C:\Program Files\xLights\Backup’!

Not exactly sure what I missed

Re-install .. dont put it in program files directory. Doing so causes endless permissions head aches.

(if you really must - to fix the error - start xlights as administrator)

This is not a problem with where you installed xlights. It’s a problem with where you put your show folder.

Where should one put the Show Folder?  Hi, I've been enjoying the app w/o problems for years but the latest update 2020.55 has invoked this same problem on my 2015 Mac w/ Big Sur.
