candy canes
« on: January 15, 2020, 01:44:41 PM »
I'm thinking next season about adding candy canes to my display. I'm looking at appx 3-4 ft high, and 4 ins thick. I'm wanting 2 maybe 3 strings and I'm not seeing in the layout how to add strings to the models. I'm sure there is a way but I did not see it, could you explain how? I think I seen them at Boysoco, but I'm not sure.  Thanks for  awesome software!!   Charlie J.

Go to the layout tab in xLights click the down pointing arrow then click anywhere in your display. A box will appear click on the candy canes then on the daycor cane 48/ It will install the model, then click on the model & then right click on it & you will see a tab that says wire diagram. This should be what you are looking for.

Usually a candy cane is being driven from one output so you model it as one string.  xLights doesn't care if it was really 3 strings chained together.

I'm dropping the candy cane idea. Charlie J.
