group problem
« on: January 16, 2020, 06:57:24 PM »
I was working on a new prop this evening and noted a problem. I created a matrix 12 by 36 nodes. When I opened the group to put it in the group I seen almost everything in the group overlapped. I went back to the model list and checked for overlaps, there was none. Went back to the group and it showed overlaps. What should I look for? Charlie J.

overlap meaning red? I think that is a known thing .. do a tools->check sequence to verify.

Groups should not highlight overlaps.

Yes overlap meaning red. I have done check sequence, with no overlaps. I will send some files later today for you to look at. What is interesting is I have xlights on 2 computers ( one for show one every day use ) and its happened on both computers after I did the last update, which was done on both computers.  Charlie J.

I do not know what just happened but I just restarted xlights ( I shut down my computers at night ) on both computers and the problem is NOT there. The red overlaps did show in the groups but not now. Strange. Sequences look OK, will check further later.  Charlie J.

I don’t need files. I know why it happens and yes it is an overlap in one sense. It just shouldn’t be checking for it.

I noted that in the last update there is an change that looked like it addressed this problem.
