Convert Vix 2.1 into XLights
« on: February 07, 2020, 05:15:32 PM »
Ok, I must be doing something really dumb.  I put the profile and sequence file from vixen into my show folder.  I created the exact same setup and layout in xLights and then use the convert tool to bring the sequence in.  It all works great and if I go to my Sequence tab and expand the models I can see the sequence.  The problem is, when I go to save the sequence it will only save as an XML file and then wipes out all the sequencing.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?   I know it's going to be something dumb.

Thanks for the help

Converted data is written to an iseq file which the sequence XML file points to.

Have you tried using the Import -> Import Effects option and mapping the incoming effects?  The convert method was more of the old school way we did it 4-5 years ago.

I have not tried the import effect method.  I will check that out.
Thank you for the response.
