xLights or FPP issue?
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:31:25 PM »
This is either an xLights question or an FPP question.  I’m learning toward the former.

I have nearly duplicate setups for the front and back of my house - FPP on RPis connected to F16V3s via Cat6 cable.  I’ve allocated 32 universes for the back and had that all set up and working months ago.  I’m trying to get the front set up.  I need the front and back to operate independently.

Right now, both front and back are set up on unicast.    The back uses universes 1-32 (channels 1-16,384).  Having used FPP Connect, the E1.31 page on the front FPP is showing universes 33-64 and the associated channels.  On the F16V3, the E131 set up page shows the same universes and channels.  The string ports have the distribution of channels to fit my props.

Using the test functions in both FPP and on the F16V3 works fine.

In xLights, I created 2 models totaling 400 pixels.  In xLights, the first model is set to start on output 2 (the front controller) and shows a start channel of 1 (16,385).  I’ve uploaded a simple sequence to the FPP, created a playlist with it and attempted to get it to play.  Nothing.

What am I doing wrong?  What additional information or screenshots do you need to figure out where I have gotten off track?

Thanks in advance. Any help will be much appreciated.

There's a lot of variables to what could be wrong. I would suggest that you hop onto Zoom To get some one-on-one help from somebody.
