2020.8 AlphaPix Controller configuration problem
« on: March 06, 2020, 08:39:44 PM »
When you configure an AlphaPix Controller you cannot select that controller for your Models. I believe the problem is that the option to set the Auto Layout Model does not become visible until you select a Variant but the AlphaPix doesn't have a variant. This problem will probably be the same for other controllers that don't have variants? Maybe have the Variant auto populate with N/A when a Controller that doesn't have a variant is selected so that the option to use the Auto Layout Model is visible?

Not having a variant is not an issue. It comes down to choosing auto layout models.

Keith,
I agree that not having a variant isn't the problem, if you noticed in my post, you do not have the option to select the Auto Layout Models until you select a variant. So the problem isn't with the variant, but the option that you need, "Auto Layout Model" is not available to select until you select a variant.... So it looks like a bug there. Do you want me to file a formal issue in GitHub?

No. Scott is already working on his fix.
