working in new program
« on: March 22, 2020, 01:15:37 PM »
I'm trying to work thru the new xlights. Some things I understand others things I do not. My display is small (by most standards) I have one controller (f48 w/ six receivers) All the receivers I'm using all 4 outputs but one. That one unused output is in the middle of the list ( #12 of 21) used outputs) My question is this. When I'm in the controller page and I click on the individual size box, I see the list of outputs ,1-48, The first 11 are lite green, then 12 -20 is white and 21 is green? I thought all in use outputs should be green except 12. The visualizer is showing all the outputs properly.  I'm also finding that when I test in xlights I click on what I think is an output those lights do not light, I need to go to the actual absolute number. When I use the models it works properly. I know this isn't a major issue but just an observation. I have not yet tested with all the lights, but I think it will go good. Thanks Charlie J.

I would need to see your setup to see if it is a bug or your setup that is wrong.

Here is some screen shots. I'm finding that the candle ( small matrix)  tree-2 and tree are overlapping. Yet in the controller page and the visualizer is showing separate start channels on different ports. Tree-2 port 1 ; candle port 2; tree port 3. I'm not sure if I can locate the problem, can you help?  Charlie J.

I have also been contact with Falcon about this problem, he suggested to click on the auto layout and auto upload buttons. Well I did that and restarted xlights and the layout setup changed and there is no overlaps and the lights that are connected works as expected. I did not see or missed the part about those buttons. I would have thought that I should have been able to make changes manually, when I tried the changing setting it reverted back to what was there before. Unless I did not do it correctly. Well this is a new learning curve, I'll keep working. Charlie J.
