DMX and whole house preview
« on: May 10, 2020, 12:36:13 PM »
Hello,

I am adding my DMX floods and par cams to my display.  I am finding that they aren't showing up when doing a whole house affect.  For example, when I place a curtain or butterfly affect to the whole house, which the dmx fixture is a part of that group, it doesn't show up.  It is a 3 channel model.  Channels 1 2 and 3 are RGB.  I'd be happy to show snips of the fixture if that helps.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Be safe.

Mike

Yeah Dmx models are not like any other. They only play well in groups of the same models.

I think the DMX models work if you use a "Per Model..." buffer.  Otherwise I believe the problem when a DMX model is in a group is because it just presents the pixels as normal and the model type is group so the effect code does not know to use the special channel mapping lookups required for DMX models where red, green, and blue are not guaranteed to be in fixed locations.
