My sequence files get moved around from time to time. On one computer my sequences are on:
C:\Christmas\xlights\2019\
with the various "shows" listed under that (per advice of KW in several videos.)
On another computer it may be located at:
D:\sequencing\2019\.
Currently, as far as I know, any picture placed into a sequence is referenced by a full path name:
C:\Christmas\xlights\2019\LWW Main\Media\Images\FrostyPlaying.gif.
If I move the sequences to another directory or computer (such as the D: above), I have to go back through and re-point (or reassign) the pictures to their new home - even though they are in the same relative spot within the sequence file structure.
Is there any way of referencing them as (or something close to):
Media\Images\FrostyPlaying.gif
with the root being the main directory of the sequence files?
I used to call this absolute reference (what we have now) and a relative reference (what I would like to see). Relative referencing makes so much sense in my book.
