Multiple universe custom frame
« on: December 10, 2014, 08:22:42 AM »
Is it possible to create a custom window frame type model from 4 strings on 4 different universes? The universes are not full or sequential.  This is my roof line, a rectangle with four strings starting from the bottom left and right corners and ending near the middle top and bottom. Each string is it's own universe and own wireless channel.

If I create the XML, will nutcracker handle it? The model generator doesn't seem to offer a direct solution to span universes, but maybe a text editor can.

Again, thanks for a great powerful and flexible tool, but "with great power comes great" ... complexity.  :D

The perimeter pixels on my roof are similar to what you describe. The top and right side are in DMX Universe #6. The bottom and left side are in DMX Universe #7. I actually created it as four separate models, then position them in the preview window to look like a rectangle.

I did create a custom model that included all four sides and I use it sometimes when a specific effect might look better that way, but normally I just copy/paste the same effect onto all four single models.
