Welcome or Public Service Announcements
« on: July 12, 2020, 11:17:08 PM »
Greetings Everyone,

I don't know if this is possible or how to search the forum for it, so here it goes.  I have made a voice over announcement asking people to mind the neighbors and not litter.  I would LIKE to be able to set it up so that it can be run at various times in the list while still being able to shuffle the sequences.  Maybe something like 3 or 4 sequences and then an announcement to stay off the grass, don't use the neighbors driveway, and such. I would like to shuffle the sequences and still be able this announcement sequence play out over their car radios after three or 4 songs. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Only way I was able to do this was a custom randomizing script ... I randomize the playlist then place the annoucements at slots 1,5, 10 etc. Not really something builtin at this point.

Are you using xScheduler to run your show?  xLights doesn't play shows you need to use a show player like xScheduler or an FPP.  With xScheduler you can have multiple lists with priorities and such so you should be able to do anything you want.  You need to just start learning the program.  Most people here don't use features like that so hard to find someone to tell you exactly unless Keith is around.  I help develop xLights but I don't know all the xScheduler features.

Yes. I am using xScheduler. I am trying to get in the "ins and outs" of the program, but they are quite extensive. My hats off the the team that worked, and continue to work on it.
