Moving form LOR to Xlights
« on: August 21, 2020, 11:51:16 AM »
I have been on LOR for years and now with Pixels am trying to move to Xlights.  I am first trying to hook up my LOR ac controllers.  My download version does not have the ADD LOR button for controllers so i used the USB tab.  I can't seem to get them to come on after i installed them in Xlights.  I have watched videos but they all use the LOR button that I don't have.  I have been trying to use the, i believe, tool button and then test.  When i hit test lights my lights on the controller don't respond.  Again i am new on this software but does anyone have any suggestions or videos?  I am hooking the controller using the usb converter i used with LOR.

You now use the Add USB option and then you need to change the Protocol parameter to be one of the LOR protocols.  Since its just an AC controller you probably don't need the LOR Optimized protocol or did I call it LOR Enhanced...can't remember.  I have no idea if there are current videos.  I don't have time to update videos every time the program changes.

thanks, i was hoping that was the answer.  Can you tell me, when i have set up the controller, where is the best way to test if the software is communicating with the lights?  Thanks.

Test mode is the best test because you can test all channels at once.

Jump into zoom and ask the guys there. They will get you up and running in a few minutes.
