issue with the star
« on: October 19, 2020, 08:07:10 AM »
In the 2020.42 release notes there is s note about the star, it was about the drop down for the start location. My star is not working as expected. My star is a 90 pixel with 3 layers,20;30;40. The effects does not look correct. I went to the strands and the 20 , inner is showing on the outside with the rest out from there. I have looked at the wiring diagram , bottom center cw, is my prop wiring. I rendered the effect 3-4 times. no change. What am I doing wrong?

I'm updating my info. The problem with the effects was linked to a need to update the Falcon uploads and down loads. Effects appear OK. But I still see a problem in the strands of the model. When I select the star and go to the strands;  the inside strand is on the outer layer with only 20 pixels on, then middle strand lights up the next 30 middle layer, outer layer (40) lights the remaining.

Charlie - did you reenter the values of the layer with smallest to largest?

Ed posted files to github and now I think I have it fixed. It looks like it was broken where you were using strange and had it wired from the centre.

Thanks, the last update fixed the problem. The lights was wired according to xlights wiring diagrams.  Again thanks  Charlie J.
