Upgrading lights with existing effects
« on: October 19, 2020, 06:29:25 PM »
Not sure if I need to start over or if there is a quick fix - I hope someone knows the answer. I had a mega tree With 16 strands of 60 lights. A hungry family of mice last year made me replace my lights. So in an effort to go bigger I made them 16 strands of 100 lights. Unfortunately when I updated the XLights software, the previous sequences and effects do not play well on it. I have 2 of Lidias sequences and they play on the first 960 lights rather than all 1600 and it does not line up right. (Even though xLights knows how big the tree is)

That being said what is the quickest way to get them where I need to be?  Do I need to import the whole thing again? Hope not because it?s been a few years and the mapping may not be what it was. Or could I import just the tree into a new sequence and somehow copy that over to the old file?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,
Wayne

Have you tried rerendering. Most effects scale automatically.
