Reveal transition
« on: October 23, 2020, 07:53:57 PM »
I am trying to create an effect but I am not sure if it can be done, I have at least have not been able to figure out how to do it if it can.

I want to create a reveal transition effect where I have all my elements doing their designated animations and at a certain point I would like to have a reveal transition where I do an In transition "From Middle" to reveal l the elements doing a different animation while transitioning out the other animations that have been going.

The best example I can give you that I have seen to something similar I am trying to do is in this video

https://youtu.be/qxfNBOXo9cY?t=76

at 1:19 it does a ripple effect that transitions the color of the house. This seems easy enough when transitioning between two colors since the house is probably in a group so there is probably a few layers here to make it happen but is it possible to do with where it reveals the new animations of individual elements while wiping away the old ones?

Yeah there is a transition for that. Overlap the effects. Set duration of in and out. Reverse the out (I think) and choose the type of transition.

Yeah like I said I can get it to work with a SINGLE display element using a couple of layers but what I cannot figure out how to do is get it to work across all elements.

For example I have an "All" group that I am trying to apply the transition on and all the other elements have their own animation going.

I put a Shockwave effect with a "Circle Explode" (transition in/out) on the all group but the individual elements effects seem to have a higher Z index over the All group meaning the Shockwave appears under them and can only see it in black regions of the effects

You can see the problem in the attached photo
