Run a Sequence On Demand?
« on: November 20, 2020, 11:19:11 AM »
Hey all,

Been using Xlights and  FPP for awhile, and now we are going to use it to run a light display for a parade on a boat.  We are wanting to have the ability to interrupt the currently playing sequence when we passing certain points on the route, to be able to have a quick Happy Birthday Sequence, or shout out to a certain family as we pass them on the shore.

Any ideas either using a show computer or FPP?  Thank you!

I'm still at the bottom of the learning curve for how to program everything, but if using a Raspberry Pi I think you could use a momentary on switch connected to the Pi with code saying when it gets the input to trigger the sequence.

I could be completely wrong because I am learning how to code for Arduino and the Pi is similar, but don't know for sure. I'm just putting an idea out there for others to shoot down. lol
