Falcon F16V3 and 8 channel GPIO relays?
« on: December 01, 2020, 07:52:46 AM »
Hello, I'm new to the light show world and was looking for advice on setup of a Falcon F16v3 and a relay board running on FPP. This is what I have is this close or really lost? Thanks

Gpio relays need to be connected to a pi or something similar.
You probably could use DMX relays that can drive off of a DMX port on the Falcon.
You may want to get into Zoom to get some help with your layout.

Ok, the relay board is connected to a RaspberryPi running Falcon pi player via a ethernet cable. I think the most confusing part in the channel layout.

Have you got the relays defined under fpp?
They have to be set up under Channel outputs/ other outputs.
You have to assign a channel number that matches what you have an Xlights.
On your xlights setup you have them set as null and you have a few other things that need some help.
We have no idea how you plan on running this so it's hard to advise you without more information.
This is why I mentioned getting into Zoom.
