Models not Displaying all Pixels
« on: December 14, 2020, 12:22:29 PM »
I have noticed on two of my models that some of the pixels are not lighting.  On one Pixel tree the last 40 pixels are not lighting.  I have defined the tree as 6 strings of 100 nodes with 2 strands per string.  The last strand only displays the first 10 nodes.  The channel count is 1800 (12000-10201) and it starts in its own universe at channel 1.

I also have some icicles (2 groups of 100) and only the first 6 strings (30 nodes) light.  (Other similar sets don't exhibit this problem.)  If I offset the starting channel at 420, I get most of the nodes to light (I think I have  a dead node toward the end so the last 30 don't ever light).

When i run in test mode in FPP all the lights for all my models light up.  I know this does not distinguish models so the issue seems to be with those specific models then running a sequence.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what might cause this anomaly?

I've been fighting similar issues and they have all been caused by my moving some things around which caused addressing mismatches between xlights and the controllers.

1.  Check the xlight controller and model definitions carefully against the channels as defined in the hardware controller configs.
2.  Re-render all your sequences and re upload them to the FPP using FPP connect.

That was my original concern as well so I did verify all the layout data and this model is in a universe by itself and there does not appear to be any overlap in absolute channel numbers.  It's just a mystery at this point.  Thanks for your suggestion.

Like usual we really need a sample sequence with the issue.  Also I can't tell if the problem is in the GUI only or is it fine in the program and just not lighting on the real lights.
