Problem Importing Effects from Paid Sequence
« on: February 14, 2021, 11:08:50 AM »
I'm working on importing some paid sequences into my show. Yesterday, I was able to import effect from the XLATW sequences without any issues. I purchased some sequences last night but today I'm unable to import effects into my show.

I have unzipped the paid sequences into a folder. I temporarily change the show directory to the paid sequence folder and am able to bring up the models of the paid sequence. I am able to open the sequence and render successfully so I can watch their show. I close xLights and open back to my show. I'm able to see my own models and layout.

However, when I create a new sequence, I click on "Import Effects" in xLights, but it only brings up the paid sequence effects. My own models are no longer listed for me to drag the import effects over. This makes it impossible for me to import them to my show. See attached screen shot.

Not sure what I did wrong here, but any ideas what I can do to fix it?

Looks like you started a new sequence and did not put your own models in it.  You import models to models.

Thanks for replying.

The answer was simply that the leftmost column containing my models was so narrow that I couldn't see that they were actually there. All I did was drag the column wider and all the models were in there... Facepalm  ::)
