Xlights locks up when House Preview window opens
« on: October 23, 2021, 09:47:12 AM »
I am having an issue while sequencing where the program freezes up whenever the "House Preview" window opens when play a sequence. Will not respond to keyboard/mouse until sequence finishes playing or the program is killed via Task Manager. First noticed it on 2021.33 (multiple installs) and again today on 2021.34. Did have a Crash upon starting the program one day prior, unsure if that is related. Happens with both musical and animation sequences, as well as newly edited and older sequences that have not been changed.

Thanks!

You may want to run xlights from the command line with the /w switch. This will erase all your options but may clear out some window positioning that may be causing issues.

Thanks for the quick response Keith,

Ran from command line with the /w switch. Got a "wiping settings" popup. Reopened Xlights and the same thing occurred. Other thoughts?

Update your video drivers.
