AC Models (LED)
« on: November 09, 2021, 09:20:48 AM »
Most of my models have not been converted to RGB.  They are either strings of led lights or blow molds with an LED light inside.
I've tried using the AC tool bar.  When I select the area, nothing happens.  xLights will allow me to put RGB effects in those rows. I suspect I have something not set right in the model.
Where can I find guidance on building AC models? I haven't been able to find anything.
Thanks
Scott

You used the word "rows" and not "cells" so I can't tell if you actually have a timing track active.  You need to be selecting cells to insert effects with the AC toolbar.  It's kind of a misnomer the AC toolbar is really just dropping down regular effects and to xLights an RGB or AC model is pretty much the same thing it just generates different number of data bytes for each effect.

I believe I have an active timing row.
I did a screenshot.  What's in the cells now is the on command from the effects settings.  I was able to drag that over.

Ok so make sure you are using the AC toolbar correctly.  I don't believe you select the cells first.  You select a function on the AC toolbar and then you drag in the cells to apply it.  It was designed to work similar to LOR.

That's how I've been going.  Turn the bar on.  Select the function On/Twinkle etc. click the selection arrow and then highlight the cells.  Nothing happens after that.

Two ways to do it.
Click AC, click on the required effect, click and drag the mouse cursor across the cells you want to apply the effect.
or Click AC, click on the Select tool, click and drag the mouse cursor across the required cells, click on the effect button you require.
then deselect AC to work on the effect.
