Minitree model not lining up with preview
« on: November 15, 2021, 06:47:08 PM »
I think I'm at my witts end... wasn't very far apparently lol. I have an 80 pixel mini tree and am running into issues with it not matching up to the preview in xlights. The last 4 pixels also act as though they are on the next 80 pixel tree that is attached to it. This is the start of an output with nothing before it, shows 80 pixels, 240 channels, have tested on the pixlite controller to verify all pixels up to 80, checked wiring view & node layout.

Whenever I have had a prop not acting correctly, it has always been a case of overlaping channels somewhere.  Go in to  your layout in XL and check the box at the bottom that says 'Overlap checks enabled'.  Then scroll thru all of your props and see which ones turn red.  Those will be the ones with a channel conflict.

I'd expand the model down to the node level on string 1 and drop an On effect on Node 1 and see if the first pixel lights up.  If not then you have a start channel mismatch between xLights and the controller.  Otherwise you should post screenshot of the model parameters/settings and any other related setup.

Thanks for the responses. Forgot I reduced 4 pixels on the channels prior over the rest of the house and forgot to change it in the controller. Got it figured out now.
