Arches "out of sync"
« on: November 21, 2021, 06:03:51 PM »
Brand new arches this year and purchased sequences to import. Everything seems to work within xlights and have gone over the numbers multiple times in xlights and fpp.

When running the sequences in real life the animation goes out of sync after the first arch. (See attachment) There are dead gaps of about 18" (no lights) and the rest of the animation seems to get pushed over by that amount (maybe?).

This is only my second year of sequencing so not sure what the next step is here. Using Xlights 2021.38, FPP v4.6.1, My controllers are Dig-Uno wifi using WLED v0.12.0 (Don't judge)

Thanks for any help.

OK, on closer inspection. The sequence is adding 30 nodes with a gap of 25 dark nodes at the end of each arch. Thus pushing the start of the next arch by 55 nodes. This happens with every sequence whether it is output directly from xlights or from FPP.

There are definitely 116 physical nodes per arch. This is definitely set up in xlights this way. The controller is set up with 4 universes with 435 channels per.

How can I fix this? Where else can I look to see where I've screwed up the numbers?

Thanks for any help

This has been resolved. I had universe size set to 435 and evidently WLED doesn't like anything other than 510 when spanning more than 1 universe, thus causing the odd behavior

Should look at using the visualiser .. On the controller tab put vendor/model to WLED/WLED and autosize, autolayout. Click visualize, drag props to ports then click upload outputs.
