Chaining props with in xlights
« on: November 30, 2021, 09:35:39 AM »
I am not sure where i am making a mistake at, but i have couple strings that are chained to another prop and they will not work. I have moved those props to their own port and they work their. I have other props chained and they work. Its just 1 light string and 1 snow flake that are giving me problems.  In xLights i have the box checked for Auto layout and i used the visualizer to stack the props that are being chained. In the layout tab everything looks correct If i uncheck the Auto layout tab and go to the prop and manually select where it need to start at (from the other prop) nothing seems to work in the show. What am i missing here?

What controller? Screenshots of your controller output settings would be helpful

Those xLight screenshots look good. How about a look at the controller's output configuration.

And up "upload inputs" (if required) and "upload outputs" and fpp connect (UDP set to all) if using a Pi?

I had not removed the last two pixels on that string so was trying to see if i could turn them off. Was having the issue before. Here are some screen shots of the configuration on the controller.

I went back to the controller set up in xLights and checked the Auto layout and Auto Size, so it changed the number of universes i was using. Was doing 1 universe per port. 8 in total but when i selected the Auto size it changed to 5 universes. Still behaving the same way but the screen shots are after that change.

I have a couple of 50 count strings in 48 count snowflakes on my roof.  Was a last minute decision to put them up there when my grandson volunteered or they would have been spares saved for the next year.  My F16 config just has the star with 48 nodes and 2 nulls.
