AC lights and pixels together in the same sequence
« on: December 02, 2021, 09:29:16 AM »
Yes I am a noob to all of this.  This will be my first show.
I have a mega tree (360 32/50)
I have the controller (alphapix flex) configured, model created, and have started a musical sequence.
All of the pixel effects are available to me.
I also have a 16 output AC controller (alphapix 16) configured.   I have created 16 models ( I used string, single color, 1 pixel) and added them to my layout
When I turn on the AC menu I can highlight the area adjacent to the string models ( I get a gold dashed box across the rows and cells) but cannot get any of the effects to load.
My guess is I am missing something in the set up of the models or the controller.

If it cannot be done this way, please point me to the way it is done ? ?cause I?m sure it can be done. :)

And if the above was/is a quick answer ?.
I have purchased a musical sequence ?. Where is the step by step of how in the heck do I use it?  I mentioned that I am a noob.   So is the correct question: how do I copy? Or how do I import? Or how do I convert? How do I Load?   Or any combination of the above?
The knowns are I have a 32/50 360 ? the sequence is for a 16/50 180 ? the seller said ? just create two models, front and back and split the universes. ? that may take me till next Christmas.

Thanks in advance and I am really excited about my adventure that is just starting.

I know some of the sequence vendors have a on how to do it.  xLights makes it very easy you do not even have to unzip the file any more.

I do not know anything about the alphapix but use LOR and Falcon in my set up.  You do not have to use the AC controls to program AC channels. Try just dragging an on command to your channel

The video was very helpful and offered a bunch more for me. Thank you!

The part I was missing is the timing marks.   I am sure this is an ?of course you need them?  however, having 0 experience in any package, and that you don?t need them for pixel effects, I missed that step.

Is there an indexed list of the xEssentials videos out there.   I am still looking for a step by step on how to incorporate a purchased sequence that starts immediately after step 1, you purchased the sequence.  :)
I have found a couple that start later after you have messed up something. :)
