wave effect not waving for me

I managed to really mess something up with the wave effect.  I apply the wave effect to a matrix for example and it shows the wave line but the wave doesn't move in the model preview or when I ply it.  I can max the speed and nothing happens.  I also tried resetting my xlights settings just to see if it would clear it up but no luck.  Other effect are working fine. 

I did have it working a few days ago when I was testing the wave effect on a cobe.  Then it just up and stopped.  I've tried it in a fresh directory too.

Any thoughts what I managed to mess up?

Update...  I moved over to my old PC and the wave effect was working but I hadn't updated to 2022.06.  I updated to the latest version and the wave effect sopped working for me. 

So I switched back to my other PC which was on 2022.06 and moved it to 05 and the wave effect worked.

So looks like I found my problem.
