xlights w/ espixelstickv4 on D1 mini with relays only
« on: October 24, 2023, 05:39:41 PM »
anyone using a d1 mini as a relay controller not as an fpp remote, i have this mostly working in parallel with my F16V3 with a small kink.

On the espixelstick, i have only ddp input and the 2nd relay output enabled. in xlights, if i apply the 4 relay models (channel blocks) to the only open pixel port (1) in the visualizer, the test chase works fine cycling the relay states "until" either xlights auto uploads outputs, or i manual upload outputs to espixelstick controller. then it forces espixelstick output 1 to be ws2811, and then the relays get bumped out and no longer respond... do i need to uncheck(not use) the upload features for the controller or is this something i'm setting incorrectly in the relay model? (i only see protocol options like ws2811 or dmx for the channel block model, and they both cause this enabling output1 issue....

it's in the image above i think. all 4 of the channel blocks are assigned to port 1, the only open pixel port. this was weird i thought a i thought if i had disabled output 1, then output 2 on the esp would show up as pixel port 2 in the visualizer....
