Multiple people sequencing for the same light show
« on: November 01, 2024, 07:30:19 AM »
We have 3 people creating sequences for our town's light show. We each have our sequencer tab's set up with different views (different model groupings & layers, etc). Will this be a problem when we run the show? I have not sequenced for a few years, and am having trouble remembering some of the particulars. I am thinking that when the scheduler loads a sequence, it brings in the groupings and layers associated with that particular sequence so it won't be an issue.

If the groups and layers are different on each workstation, they would render differently on each machine.  Each system would have to render the sequence separately on their own workstations, or you would have to create separate temporary folder for each user.   The .fseq file should contain everything needed to play minus the music, and it should not matter which computer it came from.

If each person was creating their own unique sequences it should work.  You could of course import the sequence as well.

Clearly all the models and controllers would have to match exactly on all systems.
