Can't make pixel tree work?
« on: January 20, 2014, 04:09:05 PM »
I just bought a an E1.31 pixel tree, that uses 12 universes. Trying to test with computer I have used LOR on. I cannot make the pixel tree function. I've checked software configurations, the LOR controller connects. When I run a test sequence nothing happens. The pixel tree uses a Joshua1 controller that connects via Ethernet. The computer is a single pentium processor with 3gigs of memory.  I'm new to the pixel stuff, so bear with my inexperience. What am I not doing right?

When I had to test my pixels I had to have he USB485 dongle from LOR plugged in, don't ask me why but it worked for me, plug in the dongle and then plug in your sand device unit using a cat 5 cable into the ethernet port on the back of your computer or laptop, ( I don't know what you are using)

since this is the xLights/Nutcracker forum, did you try using the xLights TEST function?  If your network settings are correct in xLights, that will give you a good test for the J1Sys box. (Is it the 12 output or the 2 output?)
