pixel wire lenght

I have 12volt c9 smart pixels from seasonal entertainment  2801   I would like to cut the string at 14 pixels and add a section of wire of 5ft between 14 and 15 pixels and again the 28 pixel can I do that distance or will that screw up the data signal  thanks Dennis

6' is the standard length between pixels where no problems should exist.
if you need a longer length, consider having one or more pixels to span the distance.  you can black them out if you don't want to see the pixels.
