Nutcracker Models / Re: questions about single color and how it maps to RGB
« on: December 27, 2014, 12:56:02 PM »
Just putting a bump in here to see if there has been any resolution to this as I'm having the same issue with all my super strands that I have in my display.... just trying to get away from using LOR and NC.... and just focus on NC...

Yup. It was the fade in that was causing the restart.

Is this a desired effect or is this something that might be tweaked in the next major revision?

Thanks!

I know that this has probably been discussed before, but I have two models that I'm currently working with, my house eaves and windows and then my matrix.

My problem is that I have timing marks for my matrix because I'm changing the text that is scrolling and every new timing mark restarts the effect that I have currently playing on my other model. Is there a way around this or am I missing something simple?

xLights Convert / Re: Timings not correct from a LOR .LMS file convert
« on: December 12, 2014, 12:11:02 AM »
I think I found out what was going on...

Instead of creating a timing entry in XL/NC for JUST every tap I did, it created a timing mark for every tap AND for every effect I had already put in...

So my next thing to try is to just create the tap track FIRST, import into XL/NC to get the timing marks in, then go back and do my LOR sequencing and then CONVERT to then add the RGB effects....

Thanks!

xLights Convert / Timings not correct from a LOR .LMS file convert
« on: December 11, 2014, 06:02:06 PM »
Hey all,

I created a new musical sequence in LoR, sequenced my AC channels and then wanted to convert that file to xlights so that I can add my RGB effects using the same timings... but when I convert my .LMS seq into xLights, I get a WHOLE ton of extra timings, where as in my original "beat tapped" timing grid, there's a lot less...

Any ideas?

Do you have the LOR Control Panel open when trying to run sequences from the SE?

Nutcracker Models / Re: Making copies of models?

On the custom model screen, just highlight and copy the cells once your data is there as if it were Excel.

Create a new model and PASTE.

All the models will have 1,2,3,4,5,6 ETC.

The only difference is the name and starting channel.

Wicked. I'll give 'er a try.

Thanks!

Nutcracker Models / Making copies of models?
« on: December 03, 2014, 03:48:23 PM »
Hey everyone!

Just tweaking some stuff here wanted to add some more of my LOR channels into my current list of models...

Is there a way to make a custom model for something and then copy it like 8 times and just change the starting channel? It's getting annoying having to build the same thing over and over again....

Thanks!

God I'm so stupid sometimes...

Scrolled down the list a little further to see the Open DMX option there.

I tried that and it worked.... for the most part.

I'm still having an issue with 5 of my RGB floods (http://www.eliminatorlighting.com/pdffiles/electro86.pdf)

These, I have to have the control channel set at a DMX Value of 189. Very easy to do in LOR. So made a test sequence in LOR with that correct address at a DMX value of 189 for the entire sequence. Was not getting very good results even though everything else was working fine so far.

Any ideas on that?

More tinkering tomorrow.

***EDIT - After looking at the xLights/Nutcracker FB page, another user is having the same issue where a specific DMX value is NOT being converted correctly when going from LOR to xLights... anyone have some insight?

Version 3.6.7

I'll tinker around some more and see if I can't figure out what's happening.

Xlights Setup / ENTEC Open DMX not supported?
« on: November 23, 2014, 08:30:00 PM »
Just tried messing around with my Enttec Open DMX and NC and noticed that it wasn't listed in the supported devices list in the setup tab...

I tried it anyways and my results were not good. Is the Open version not supported?

Thanks!

LOR / Re: Do I have to run my LOR boxes in DMX to run it in Nutcracker?

Before I converted all my sequences, I also removed all the extraneous timings. Don't know if that would have helped or not.
