Okay. Will keep it a straight line.

I think I figured it out.  A polyline.  You can break the individual nodes down by segment.

My soffit at one point turns 90 degrees toward the street.  It is a 50 node string and the first 40 go from left to right, but the last 10 turn 90 degrees and go directly towards the viewer.  How would I represent that in xLights?  It seems like that would be important when doing whole house curtain effects and such.

Thanks!

Don

Looks like I should have listened to Phrog30.  Found a wiring mixup.  I am attempting to correct now.

I left out an important piece. It is a 270° tree. The center is very obvious.  It is a custom tree I made. The 270° may not be exact. Not sure that would cause this problem though.

So I am working with one of my new mini trees.  I dropped the effect Marque on it.  It looks great in the model preview but when I  output to the actual tree it is offset to the left.  I dropped other effects on it with the same result.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong? It appears that xLights has a different opinion of where the center is than I do.  :-)

Yep.  That was it.  Those shadow models can be tricky.

Thanks!

I can't find a data layer.  See screenshot.

I was converting effects from one sequence to another.  I have one model I changed my mind on and would like to delete the effect that I previously imported in.  I can't seem to accomplish that.  The effects look to me like it is a data layer.  I can even right click on the model and click PROMOTE EFFECT.  I can then delete the effects but when I render they just come back.  I have also tried reimporting with that model blank.  No joy.

Here is a screenshot.

You have to use the keyboard shortcuts. Control C to copy.  Control V to paste.

Turning off the auto save has helped.
