Solved by Dan Kulp on FB group. I had Morph checked.

You're not doing anything wrong. That's happened and annoyed me also but not sure the best option to fix it. It's not just the fade values its everything that works like that. Sparkles, brightness, colors, fades, persistence, etc. They all stay on whatever they were left on. I had it happen the other day I accidentally had like 50 effects with sparkles and fades that I didn't want there all because I did want it on one effect.
Jinx! has a cleaner/smoother interface than Glediator and has better audio input support to generate the EQ/VU effects. Some computer audio cards do not support internal loop back and thus will not be able to generate an EQ effect natively. Those folks will need to run a male to male cable from the LINE OUT to the LINE IN on their audio cards to get the sound back into the computer for effect processing.Do you know if there is a way to isolate the frequencies? For example. I have 3 columns and would like to use Jinx to separately record the low frequencies, then midrange then high frequencies so that I could use each effect on its own column.
Glediator has better preset effects. NC now supports both .out and .gled files for use via the Glediator effect.
Minimal Grid is not going to look at the Grid Size field. The program isn't perfectly polished to grey out everything that isn't applicable in all cases.
You are right, with minimal grid it will still let you change the grid. I can tell you that with a grid of 400 morphs don't work correctly on my layout. Minimal grid works fine, so that tells me even though you can change the value, it's ignored.

So the right choice is minimal grid. My defaults to Grid Size 400. Is that the right number?
Charles
It's the default now. If you already had models/groups when Gil updated the code, it would have remained the same. I went through and changed all of mine to minimal grid. If yours has 400, then it's not set to minimal.

HEre's a quick screencast I made of the issue. It's the first time I've use screencast so apologies if it's ruff. Can't look at this right now but you can use Notepad++ to delete the names of those models in your rgbeffects.xml file.

Just use the Save button on the effect assist window to re-save the image and it will save in a format that doesn't have a problem.
Thanks.Roberto, sorry if I missed this but are you putting a node in the center hole as well? Looks too big but perhaps you could make it work somehow if you wanted.
I was going to add something on the middle, but decided to only add 12 extra bullets closer to the center.
On the middle you could have one 20mm ball, but would look different :-)
