Bugs in xLights/Nutcracker / xLights 2017.33 (Mac version) crashes on launch

Is there a minimum macOS version required for xLights 2017.33?  On my wife's iMac (which was working fine with 2017.30 I believe, it crashes immediately when launching 2017.33.  In the system.log I see the following:

Dyld Error Message:
 Library not loaded: @rpath/liblog4cpp.5.dylib
 Referenced from: /Volumes/VOLUME/*/xLights.app/Contents/MacOS/xLights
 Reason: no suitable image found.  Did find:
   /usr/local/lib/liblog4cpp.5.dylib: stat() failed with errno=13

I can't get an animated GIF to work (scaled or not scaled).  I drop the effect on, change the file name and the first frame or two flashes and the rest of the effect is just black.  I tried a few different GIFs from different sources just to confirm.  Anybody else repro this?

I can't get it to work.  The tutorial seems a little different from the current version since you can't choose the Note source anymore.  I exported the polyphonic transcription from audacity and brought in as a timing track in xLights and used that as the "Track" setting on the effect but I'm still not getting any movement at all.   I can see the note labels on the timing track though.

I can't seem to get it to do anything other than render the keys on the matrix.  I have the Vamp Plugins installed and xLights recognizes that they are there (can create a new timing track based off of them), but when I choose Polyphonic Transcription or Note Onset the keys do not actually play anything no matter what values I enter into the starting and ending note values.

Is there a way (I'm using the Mac version if it matters) to adjust the slider at predictable intervals?  I don't feel like I have much control when I'm using the slider.

I think I finally figured this out.  Even though the "Start Time" selector on the Video Effect shows numbers to 3 decimal places in precison, it is in fact rounding the "Start Time" DOWN to nearest whole second.  I generted a 24fps mp4 video with burned in timecode to demonstrate.  Files attached.

This being the case, maybe it should have been posted under Bugs rather than enhancements, but I would still also like to be able to type a number into that field rather than trying to use the slider and not get a number that I want.

I can provide any files (they are small) needed to reproduce this, but the video is copyrighted so I would want to send it via private transport if possible.  Can this be done?

I've done some more testing with this and it just doesn't seem like the start time is accurate.  It's almost like it jumps to the first available keyframe in the video or something.

Bugs in xLights/Nutcracker / Video Rendering Issue?

I took a video file (mp4) and cropped it into smaller sections to display on the matrix.  Most of them render just fine, but a few of them have the right-two columns of the matrix displaying red and green vertical lines from top to bottom.  I've double-checked the video file and zoomed in and I can't see any pixels in there that could be interpreted as vertical lines like that.

They appear faintly in the model preview, but on the actual Matrix they are bright as can be.

At first I thought it could have been the way xLights was shrinking the video to fit on the matrix, but even if I choose Maintain Aspect Ratio they appear (just shorter). 

Any thoughts?

Actually, even when I calculate the appropriate value and stuff it in the XML it doesn't seem like the video starts at the right place.  I wonder if there is a keyframe limitation or something?  I can adjust it all day long and the video will be either early or late but never right on.

hard to visualize without xlights_rgbeffects.xml and xlights_networks.xml files.

i normally set up my networks as 32 universes of 510. absolute channel number in xlights, falcon and fpp makes it all tie together.

Let me simplify the question.  If you were going to split up a line model (roof outline) between 2 different models...how would you recommend going about it both at the controller and xLights level?

Would it be possible to allow for the numeric Start Time textbox to be directly editable rather than only being able to use the slider?  That would help me out immensely.
