Constant Crashing
« on: October 18, 2015, 07:49:30 AM »
I'm running version 4.2.16 on Windows 10 and the past few days I have had nothing but crashing, so much to the point I can't get any sequencing done. I was using 4.2.13, having the same problem, and upgraded to 4.2.16 today but nothing has changed. The software crashes about 2 or 3 minutes after I start the app. I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary, just my normal sequencing, I'm not running any other software that could be slowing my computer down or anything that I can think of that could cause this to happen. I'm at a lose here, any ideas whats going on? I've attached a screen shot of the debug report I get each time.

Yeah that screenshot won't help us.  If you hit OK it creates a ZIP file you can attach here which gives us a small chance to know the issue and it also gives us your setup.  The best chance for a fix is to have repeatable steps to produce the problem.  We have a lot of people sequencing without crashing.  Is there no pattern to what you were doing before most crashes?

Right after I posted this the crashes stopped for a few hours and now it's crashing again. Like I said before, there is nothing out of the ordinary that I'm doing or not doing and from what I can tell there really isn't a pattern to the crash, it just happens when I'm sequencing and doing something with an effect (adding a new effect, editing an effect, copying/pasting effects) just when I'm sequencing.

I've attached the two crashes that I did save (I usually don't save them since it happens so often). The first attachment is the one that happened earlier today, the second is the crash that happened just a few minutes ago.

Are you programming with the Output turned on? (the yellow lightbulb at the top right of the icon bar?)

Your first 2 network entries are disbabled (Enabled = No)
How is it if you change them to Yes?

I am not sequencing with the Output on. And the first 2 have always been disable, I didn't thin kit would make a difference while just sequencing.

I don't know that having the first 2 disabled would cause your crashes, but it is different than normal.
