Dan's show looks great! The effect at 1:53 or so just after R2D2 is very cool looking on his tree.

I have two models, a MegaTreeFront model which is just the front 16 strands and the MegaTreeModel which is the full 32.   For the import, I put everything on the MegaTreeFront.  However, that particular effect I moved onto the MegaTree model as I thought it looked better there.

Now to go see if Dan shared his let it go sequence. his tree looks awesome on that show too :)

hehe...   That is from HolidaySequences.com.   Won't share that one as it's purchased.  That said, with the number of hours it takes to do something like that, $47 was a no-brainer to me.

Thank you for sharing how you did it. I thought it was VERY impressive!!

OK - i've been looking at the sequences there. Thinking I want the grinch and music box dancer, but I haven't made the leap to buy one yet. I see there is price difference between the pixel sequence and the CCR sequence. Don't get why there is a difference. Is the CCR one more lights per strand?

I really like the double mega trees - you have twin millennium falcons and twin X wings which looks really cool 8).
And as for that snow man - holy moly how tall is that thing!!! What happens when the wind gets up  :o

Ok how did you get it to film so well? Time of day? Camera settings?

I've recently found when I try to get the brightest part of the show (maybe use an all white test pattern) and then lock the exposure and focus on my iPhone then start recording I have the best results and can actually film my p10 panels at night. Took me a while to figure it out. Still not the best quality, but before for me it was REALLY BAD, now my filming is just bad :)

A nice medium to dark blue clear sky also helps immensely if you can get it.  But good luck getting that to cooperate.

Yeah I've found you get the best video when it's not completely dark yet.  This was my first attempt with a new Panasonic HC-V870 camcorder and I just left it on full automatic.

Basically when it's fully dark out you need to have manual control over the exposure.

Double click on the megatree model.   That should expand the strands.  The light sabers are strand effects, not model level.

Wow - I forgot all about the strand effects...  I remember when they were introduced and I thought how cool... Then I got busy with something else and never played with them.  Thanks for the info.  I have it all working now.  And thanks again Logan for sharing.

That's a nice setup you have there. Love all the little trees and stars. Was that filmed with a low flying drone?

I only have this sequence thanks to you.
Yes I used a drone. Typhoon Q500 4k. I prefer Phantom 3.

Logan, I'm getting good response to my "port" of your StarWarsFunk display. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep tweaking some as I watch, but it is looking pretty sweet now. (and I don't have a Pixel Megatree - that got moved to my 40x30 horizontal matrix.
