I have a version which is an import from LSP to xlights which I didn't end up using this year. only thing is, I'm not sure how editable it is having been imported ( I used LSP last year). I'll try and remember to have a look at it when I get home

Logan would you mind posting up the lsp sequence too please, I may find converting that easier than the xlights version.

Alan,
Yes I was about to suggest the same thing. I looked at my xlights converted sequence last night and realised I only partially converted it. So I will put the lsp sequence in my dropbox folder (link below) with the audio file.

i have tried to import the msq file as well as rename it to a zip file and open it up in xlights - looked at the convert  tab, and just can't figure out how to bring that to xlights.  Looks like from here you can import LSP, i just have never done it....http://nutcracker123.com/forum/index.php?topic=1245.0.....do I use the import menu, or sequence settings, or convert tab or take another approach?

Sorry I did this a while back when the ability to transfer lsp files to xlights was active and to be honest, can't remember how to do it. There is a thread in the forum explaining it. I remember I primarily brought across only the megatree and spiral tree effects to see if it worked, which it did but created quite a big file (128mb xml file) compared to the usual small xlights created xml files. Also, I understand there is more than one way to import it and the way I did it means you can't edit the effects once in xlights. However, I think there is another method via data layer importing that might make the effects editable in xlights once converted but others would be able to direct you better - I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to xlights so I'm still getting up to speed with all the things this excellent program can do.
It did however bring across all the images and effects I had done on the megatree so it certainly worked ok. I just didn't end up doing the full conversion because my wife said three years in a row for that sequence was too many so i left it alone. Might look into using it and updating it next year. If I figure out how to do it again, I'll let you know but I'm sure you will have been given the info by the more knowledgable by then.

Thanks...were you able to import in xlights, or did you use LSP to export as a different file type first??

Ok. I'll try again...but 99% sure I did that with different outcome. Maybe the Mac build is different than Windows. I'll try both platforms and see what's going on
