conversion: 16x50 to 32x100

Is there a conversion tool that will scale a sequence from 12x50 up to 32x100? 
Looks like it could be handled by mapping, but looking or an easier way to upscale.

All our effects scale to the model so any method of import that creates effects will work.  You didn't provide enough info.  What kind of sequence do you have?  A 12x50 superstar sequence would be easy.  If you just have raw data then sorry you're gonna have to use mapping to convert to effects that will scale.  Exactly why xLights is better than whatever sequencer you are bringing in that data from.

Try my technique for converting a shared xml sequence to your own layout.  Since xlights considers everything a matrix, scaling is not needed, just apply an effect to a different element and when the sequence is rendered it will fit to your element.

should have included more info.....
I've got a purchased sequence from Holiday Sequences that were delivered as both a .sup and .lms files.  The sequence is for a 16x50 tree and I'd like to upscale it to my 32x100 tree.

I read through Jim's instructions, but those deal with .xml files.  Which I don't have.  So not sure those are helping me at this point.

Are there instructions for bringing in the .sup file and applying it to my pixel tree?

There are several videos around that talking about importing LOR sequences and I'm sure they also cover the superstar issues.  I don't have links handy, but look for Andy Harrison, Gil Jones, and I think Clyde Lindsey and John Storms videos.  I've never had to convert a LOR sequence (yet).

When you do the import of the SS onto your tree, there is an option on how it should handle scaling the images.   In your case, you are doubling both directions so I think you want the "Always".  (the other options are for if you are just doubling one direction)   

That should end up with something reasonably close.   I think any Text effects might need adjusting for text size, but it should end up looking fairly good.

So create a new sequence and make sure your 32x100 tree model is available on one of the rows on the sequencer grid by either selecting a view you've created that contains it or right-click a row heading and use the Display Elements dialog to add that model to your sequence.
Then use the Import menu and select Import Effects.  Make sure file type is .sup.  Choose your .sup file.
I'm going from memory but I believe we have you enter the tree size.  It probably defaults to 12x50 so you may need to change the 12 to a 16.  We want the source tree size not the destination tree size because we will know its size when you choose it.  You will choose a directory for any images we import during the conversion.  I like to create a folder below the show directory.  When done it should import the superstar sequence fairly fast into editable effects.
