I have already said if you have the 2 day seminar I'll be there. I was looking over the 2 day agenda looks great. I myself struggle with 2 or 3 things more than anything 1 physically setting up IP addressing 2 getting data regenerated from controllers to display elements at a distances 3 setting up power injection to all the elements. I know some or all of this might be out of the scope of this seminar but I thought I would at least bring up the subject.

Hi Sean, etal, I'm tied up those days as well. However, I'm with the group that will pay to have the video and manual.

Thanks, good to meet you guys at Expo.

Best,
David

there will NOT be a 2 day symposium this year.

I just got confirmation that the Venue cannot clear the saturday afternoon.
We were reserved for sat and sunday at the holiday inn. One issue is there was a wedding party Saturday night. This party had made a reservation 4 months ago.  and they had not respondned before i left. They have since confirmed they will be there Saturday night starting at 4pm. The venue needs us to be cleared out by Saturday at 2pm. A 8am to 2pm Saturday day is not enough time to do provide a full day. If the wedding party had cancelled , we would have had the entire Saturday until 8pm.

The next available venue is $2000 more. We currently are at 21 people wh said they would like to come. We would need 40 to make the next venue (Renaissance Hotel) viable.

I came back from the Boy scout trip with a cold and am still recovering from that.

I will try to make some videos for this year that go over the material, I will work on the class handouts even though we are not having the two day seminar. We will plan to have this same seminar next year, maybe in the june time frame.

If anyone is ever in Denver this year, contact me and i will give private tutorials.

thanks,
sorry this could not have been arranged for this season.

Sean,

Thanks to you and the whole team for trying to make this work on short notice.  You've done way more than should be expected from you, so don't feel bad that you couldn't pull it off.

What about having an xLights course the couple of days before/after Expo next year?  I know scheduling extra trips can be tough for a lot of people and having the xLights around the same time would allow for combined trips.

I don't know how that would work out with the Expo/LOR stuff, but it's a thought.

I'm another one who would probably go to an xLights/Falcon event over the more general Expo.

+1, like the pre-expo idea (similar to what LOR did this year)

I am planning a two day seminar in Las Vegas, tentative date is Sat,Sun: March 19,20th. When i get the venue set, i will let you all know. Price for two days will between $150-200. The venues are about half the cost of what i can get here in denver. Airfare is pretty reasonable to anywhere in the US.

thanks

Are your venue choices downtown or the strip?  Would like to go ahead and book hotel and want to be nearby.  If you can't say yet, that's fine.

I'm staying in Vegas scheduled to leave two days earlier but would stay for a couple extra days to attend. As it turns out, my son will also be there and he has an interest in Christmas lights. We would both stay as he has been with me on a few Christmas light conventions. Count us both in. --Greg--

Sean when you are checking venues around, check the Silverton out off the strip.  Pretty cheap rooms, has conference rooms as well, Bass Pro shop built off the hotel, a couple miles to Fry's electronics..

Not far from the airport.
